Growing UP

Age 2 is coming to an end and age 3 is about to begin.

i have loved the age of 2, i really, really have!

it has been full of imagination, energy and laughter.

i have enjoyed this curious little life that runs around my house...

she is always full of questions and ideas,

sometimes she is buzzing around on her tiptoes,

sometimes she is hobbling around in dress-up shoes,

sometimes she is whizzing by with her baby stroller

with as many babies, stuffed animals and baby bottles she can fit inside.

she's a good little mama.

i'm gonna miss this age

i know i will.

she has loved tea-parties this year like none other

and will enjoy one with just about anything that breathes (or not)

has 2 legs or 4,

just sit and sip with her and she's happy. :-)

i love how her feet don't even touch the ground in this picture.

these are the things i will miss.

but, with each new age

there are new things to look forward to, i know.

There is a time for everything,

(including growing UP even if your mama doesn't want ya to!)

and a season for every activity under heaven:

a time to be born and a time to die,

a time to plant and a time to uproot,

a time to kill and a time to heal,

a time to tear down and a time to build,

a time to weep and a time to laugh,

a time to mourn and a time to dance,

a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,

a time to embrace and a time to refrain,

a time to search and a time to give up,

a time to keep and a time to throw away,

a time to tear and a time to mend,

a time to be silent and a time to speak,

a time to love and a time to hate,

a time for war and a time for peace.

... and there is a time to grow up.

so, i'll just enjoy the next few weeks of being 2

and then...

the next big journey will begin.

BEING 3! :-)
