Right Down Santa Claus Lane

This is the first time in my adult life that Christmas

has felt like CHRISTMAS.

I mean really, really CHRISTMAS.
I have never sang so many Christmas songs in all my life.
or sat and played with so many Christmas ornaments
or enjoyed so many of the other
joys
that go along with Christmas-time like:
baking, reading, singing, shopping and hopping all the way down
Santa Claus Lane.
and now we have
Jingled all the Way to the
New Year!
Oh what fun it is to ride and sing in a two year olds mind...
(that's me singing some more of my made up tunes) :-)
during the weeks leading up to Christmas
we visited Santa Claus (of course)
and
we got to play on Main Street with Blake

we mailed our letters to Santa

we watched the light show with Daddy

We baked a Happy Birthday Jesus cake with Dash

(and sang!)

we hung our stockings with care

then,
Santa came and filled our stockings

Snow fell

(i still can't believe this was Christmas morning)

then,
our tables were set for a family dinner

on Christmas night

here are the party planners...

and the taste testers

and then...
chaos set in!

dinner was served
wrestling took place
wrapping paper flew

gifts were passed around

gifts were lost

and looked for

and over-looked

and then all were found again.

my camera was a blurr all night.

we must have been havin' fun.

and then the next morning... it was all over

the calm after the storm
WHEW!

loved every minute of it!
and now, as ashlyn sits and listens to the end
of the Christmas music...
i clean out closets.
and
Remington drools over ashlyn's snack.

(he always wonders where that "sharing" rule

goes every time we eat)

so, needless to say, we are well on our way back to normalville.

i loved Christmas.
i can't wait for next year.
but for now, i will enjoy just being
back-to-our-Normal-old-selves!
